Q:

Why did I stop getting my period at 18?

When I was 15 I started my period. I was on the shot for maybe and year and a half. Then I got a copper IUD for a couple months but my period never went away so I had gotten it out. Then I got on the pill for almost a year on and off. I stopped taking the pill back in march. I'm not on any other medication. Nothing about me has changed. I don't work out, I haven't done anything different w my eating habits, I haven't gained or lost weight, and I'm not sick. I've taken two pregnancy tests in two different months and they were both negative.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER . Thank you for reaching out to our community.

Consider calling and scheduling an appointment with a gynecologist. That is the only way to find out why your periods have stopped. When was your last period?

Regards,
Maryann
