Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Constipation can cause lower abdominal pain. The pain usually comes and goes in waves.

There are many organs in the abdomen. Pain in the lower abdomen can originate from the appendix, small and large intestines or the ovaries.

Try adding more fiber to your diet and drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water each day to relieve the constipation. If your bowels do not return to normal and you continue to experience lower abdominal pain, consult your physician.
