Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community for an answer to why you are menstruating so frequently, but I must refer you to your gynecologist.

How old are you? Have you had a history or regular or irregular menstrual cycles? Are you taking any medication, including herbal supplements? Do you suffer with any medical conditions?

If you are in your late 40s or early 50s, this change in the length of your menstrual cycle may be a sign of perimenopause. Levels of estrogen and progesterone rise and fall unevenly and this can lead to irregular periods.

Hello Anonymous,

What is the name of the medication that you took after sex? If you took an emergency contraceptive, then yes, that could be the reason your period is late.
