You may be in peri-menoapuse - the period before menopause that sees changes in a woman's reproductive system. Changes in the menstrual cycle are usually the first system.
At 38 it's certainly possible to get pregnant but it can be harder for some. If you have been trying longer than 6 months, contact your doctor.
