Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your question.

This is a question best answered by your primary care physician.

I will gladly provide you with information that may help you understand your levels.

The hypothalamus produces TSH Releasing Hormone (TRH) that signals the pituitary to tell the thyroid gland to produce more or less of T3 and T4 by either increasing or decreasing the release of a hormone called thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH).

When T3 and T4 levels are low in the blood, the pituitary gland releases more TSH to tell the thyroid gland to produce more thyroid hormones.

If T3 and T4 levels are high, the pituitary gland releases less TSH to the thyroid gland to slow production of these hormones.

Normal T3 levels range from 80-180 ng/dl
Normal T4 levels range from 4.6-12 ug/dl
Normal TSH levels range from 0.5-6 uU/ml

Anonymous, as you can see, laboratory levels units are different and missing from your details.

Have you been diagnosed with a thyroid condition, specifically an over active thyroid gland, or hyperthyroidism?

Are you taking any medication to correct this? If so, how long have you been taking it?
