That sounds very painful!

Heel pain can be caused by many things, and it is important to see your doctor right away, as the underlying "cause" may worsen over time. The most commonly talked about causes of heel pain are Plantar fasciitis or bruising from an injury, and you can read about this condition at: American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS): Heel Pain.

Are you taking Lyrica for fibromyalgia, to control seizures or other type of pain management? Have you spoken with your prescribing doctor regarding your heel pain? S/he may want to refer you to an orthopaedic specialist, or you can locate one at: AAOS: Find an Orthopaedist.

Please let us know what your doctor or Orthopaedist says about your heel pain, what the diagnosis is and possible treatment options. We can provide further information, if you have any other questions, too.
