My 17 year old son has a area on his jaw line that his doctor said is a necrotic lymph node. The doctor says there is nothing we can do for it. My son is constantly nauseated and often vomiting. Could this be caused by the necrotic lymph node?

Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
A necrotic lymph node is a symptom of cancer, in some cases but there can also be benign causes. What is causing his, do you know?
Whatever is causing the necrotic node may be causing the nausea and vomiting - as a necrotic is a symptom of something else, rather than an issue in itself. We look forward to hearing back from you.
