Ahh, thanks! I occasionally take an herbal supplement for colon cleansing (for only 1 week) and find I feel a whole lot better after the regimen. When I was in college and traveling frequently, I would do a cleanse by taking citrate of magnesium. It wasn't fun, and definitely had to be done a few days in advance of the trip (to allow time for my system to settle down). But, I found that rather drastic, even though it did help prep my body for long, overseas travel.
I'll have to ask my gastroenterologist if colon hydrotherapy is an option for me.
Thanks for the info!

It is a form of colon cleansing and it is among one of the most favored alternative medical therapies intended to remove fecal waste and unidentified toxins from the colon and intestinal tract. Colon cleansing may take the form of colon hydrotherapy (also called colonics or colonic irrigation) or oral cleansing regimens. Here are a couple of links that can explain better the procedure and list of reputable therapists.

Thanks for sharing those tips Alysiak. I truly believe that we hold the key to graceful aging in our hands. I will add a couple of more things to your list:
1. Eat each meal relaxed. Avoid rushing through them. Try chewing at least 15 times each bite. Savor the food!
2. Drink plenty of water. Hydration throughout the day will help eliminate toxins and will help maintain healthy pH levels in the blood.
3. Stay away from hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, MSG and any other food preservative. Try organic, fresh alternatives.
4. Supplement your diet with Magnesium. Calcium should be taken with a 2:1 ratio of magnesium. For example if you take 1000mg or Calcium, make sure to take 500mg of magnesium.
5. Detox your body once every six months maybe for a couple of days with raw veggies and fruits and good life bacteria. Or try colon hydrotherapy instead.
6. Pick a relaxation or a deep breathing technique and practice it for 5-10 minutes each day.
