Had the procedure Tuesday and it was more involved than I realized. They did several biopsies and I was told there is a possible neoplasm in my pancreas. The biopsy results won't be available for 5 days. I had a terrible sore throat for the past two days and a lot of indigestion. The original dx was unresolved gastric ulcer.

Thank you for sharing your situation with our community. I hope that the biopsy comes back with benign results, From personal experience, the 5 day wait seems like an eternity. Have you spoken to your doctor about the symptoms of sore throat and indigestion? Are you receiving treatment for the gastric ulcer or acid reflux?
Hi Maryann ,March 18, 2011 - 12:24pm
I was on prilesec for months and then Pepcid AC. Neither one resolved the ulcer and that is why they wanted to do this specialized endoscopy. My doctors have not received the results from the hospital and therefore can't discuss the status of my gastro tract with me. I got a preliminary report that I am trying to fax my gastric guy but we seem to be playing phone tag. Yes the five days does seem like a long time but I have no choice. Thanks for your response.
