Have you recently noticed that there are red moles forming on different parts of your body? If you have then you are probably worried as to what they are and are they harmful to you or not?
Why are they forming?
The cause of formation of these moles have been eluding doctors till today. Whether it is a genetic property or something else, no one knows. However they start forming at the age of approximately 30, that much has been observed. Therefore if you see these moles forming on your body then you are probably not as young as you might think. Many doctors link their formation to pregnancy or exposure to certain chemicals however nothing has been proved yet.
How to treat them?
Usually cherry angiomas need no treatment, because they are not harmful to you. However there are certain cases where you should get them treated, for instance if they begin to increase in size or start to chance color. If this happens then it might be best to visit a dermatologist. Even if they don’t change color, it might still be best to get them removed to avoid any embarrassment they might cause you. The question is how to remove them? There are many ways to treat them such as Shave Excision, Electro-cauterization, cryotherapy etc. All of these methods are preferred by the doctors because they don’t leave behind scars. However if you don’t want to go through with any of these methods and are thinking that the moles will disappear on their own, then you are wrong because they won’t go away on their own however even if they stay they are not a cause for concern.
