We are entering the age of “personalized medicine.” It will allow for prevention measures and treatment to be more precise. The idea is, while human beings are largely the same genetically, the very slight differences can make a big difference when it comes to maintaining or restoring your health. Some people are at higher risk for an illness based on genetics. Some will respond to one medicine or another better because of their genetics or, in the case of cancer, the genetic subtype of a cancer that they have.
These changes have a lot of implications for patients. I've been hearing from both patients and medical experts, and wanted to share the dialogues with you. You can find them on my website at www.patientpower.info/personalized-medicine
Wishing you and your family the best health possible,
Andrew
