I just want to share my story of how Heatlhy Coffee has benefited me and others with feeling better by adding health to a habit. This is not giving medical claims but has helped with allergies/asthama. Helped diabetes and much more. I would ask you to google an herb called Ganoderma and put whatever problem you are having after it with a backslash. My mission is to help us all feel better without the effects of medicines more natural so we can do and feel our best, This herb is a reshi mushroom that has been around for 4000 years it is called the king of herbs. I challenge anyone to research and see what this could do for you.
Linda

There are different species of the ganoderma ("bright skin") fungus, one of which, ganoderma pseudoferreum, is responsible for root rot of cacao and coffee plants.
Here's an overview of the fungus (also referred to as a plant pathogen in other articles) as written on Wikipedia.
The brand, Gano coffee, is called "Healthy Coffee" because it is a blend of Brazilian coffee and the Reishi mushroom, ganoderma lucidium.
Hope this helps.

I'm just wondering why it's called coffee... is it really made from coffee beans, or just from Ganoderma? I've never heard of this, so I'd be interested to learn more about it. Like Alison, I'd like more info from you if you have more that you can provide. Thanks!

Hi Kristen,
It is coffee with the ganoderma infused into each packet. Here is the web page to see about Organo Gold. I am a distributor of this coffee but I love to help people feel better. Please check it out and I will answer any questions you have.

You might be on to something.
The NCCAM (National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine) is currently researching Ganoderma spores for their antiviral/antitumor effects. It has long been known that mushrooms can enhance immune response (which contributes to their antitumor property, according to the Journal of Nutrition). For instance, white button mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus) in a study done on mice in March 2008, showed that these mushrooms enhanced the defense mechanism of the immune system.
Honestly, I find posts automatically suspicious when someone claims "this one herb/drug/treatment/ointment can cure everything!", and I hope other women and consumers of health do as well! What are some important pieces of information that is missing (for our readers?): dosage (quantity and frequency of using substance for health benefits), side effects, other drug interactions (something that is potent enough to help is also potent enough to harm), contraindications, and how to use substance (orally, topically, etc).
Linda, if you are interested in sharing your excitement, I would love for you to provide some more information (instead of "challenging others to do research") as to what studies have shown are the potential positive effects (as well as the side effects) of Ganoderma. That would make your testimony that much more credible, and, (sorry to say), not sound like you are trying to sell a product (in combination with your user name and claim).
Thanks--I look forward to hearing more information and learning something new!

Hi Allison, Sorry I just went out there and did not give more information. My sister passed away 6 years ago to cancer and after that I really looked into health/excercise and wanted to research natural herbs. With this, I have looked into several different products and health formulas to help myself and health. Recently I came accross healthy coffee and in it was the herb Ganoderma. I started taking it and it was one of the only things through my years of research that really made me feel better. I noticed an increase in my energy, weight loss, better focus and even a reduction of my allergies and asthma. For me this was something that made me take a step back and think that this herb may help many more people in search for a healthier lifestyle. I have several friends that I told this to and they started drinking the healthy coffee as well and had health benefits to drinking it too.
With it being an herb there really isn't any side effects but the positive effects are numerous in count. This is why I initially challenged people to research it since there are many benefits to taking this herb. To name a few are, reduction in high blood pressure, help with asthma and allergies, reduction in diabetes, increase energy, natural detoxification, etc. As far as the dosage, the coffee has one capsule of the Ganomderma in each sachet which equals out to be 250mg. There isn't any drug interactions that I am aware of that can't be taken with the Ganoderma. The Chinese pharmacopeia actually rates Ganoderma at the top of it's list as the king of herbs, above more commonly known herbs such as Ginseng.
Thank you, hopefully that helps out more!
