Life can be so chaotic at times in your life. New jobs or new boyfriends and/or girlfriends. There is death, there is stress, there are children running around driving you crazy. So what do you do for yourself? This is a question that someone asked me recently and I decided that even though I don't have children or a stressful man in my life, I still don't do anything for me.
I decided to sit and think and think really hard at what excites me or puts a smile on my face. I decided something very simple like watching a 'chick flick' may be in order. So I sat down, turned off my phone and watched a great movie (making sure the tissues were close by). I watched the Notebook. Great movie for any movie fan. This is something that I do not do often enough, have a great cry. By the time the movie was over, I couldn't breathe. My nose was so stuffed up and the tears were running freely. I felt such a release of built up emotions.
I think some people find solace in spa treatments, yoga, massages...but for me, a good cry was such a push of emotion. I am not a crier and always the one in control of the situation. It feels tantalizing to remove myself from the toughness and just cry.

Thanks for sharing these "pamper yourself" tips! I had invested a small amount of money in some good, aromatherapy pedicure scrubs, lotions and potions, and have not used them in ages. I think tonight would be a wonderful time to pamper myself with a mini at-home spa treatment, complete with a good book, herbal tea, alone time and a pedicure.
ahhh....only 4 more hours to wait!....
