I have them all over my house ... on the refrigerator, on the kitchen island, on the table at the entry way --- just about everywhere you look in my house, you'll find holiday cards. My favorites have family photos in them. One is a family photo in front of some ruins in Mexico, another is a family photo taken at a karate dojo and others are taken in festive holiday settings.
Recently a friend introduced me to some eco-friendly "Health" e-cards from the Centers for Disease Control. While they have the usual holiday offerings, Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays, many of these cards are also feature the unexpected. Know someone who is looking to get pregnant or who is pregnant? Send her an e-card reminding her to take her folic acid. Did someone you know vow to give up smoking? There's a card for that too. They even have e-cards aimed specifically at women as part of their healthy girlfriend series.
You can even wish a friend a seizure-free day.
There are literally dozens of pages of e-cards to choose from and you can start your search here.

One of my friends sent me a "green" ecard that was from Smilebox (there are probably a million other online sites that do this as well). She had a family photo included in the card, and this was a much more environmentally-friendly way to send a Holiday Card then mailing a few dozen cards, each with their separate envelopes, photos and stamps. This site has a health related breast cancer awareness ecard, so it is healthy AND environmentally-friendly! oh...and it's free, too! Plus, all of the recipients can comment publicly, which is another way to feel connected to everyone.
