I too experienced bleeding, but not as heavy as you described. I was taking 200mg of progesterone at night and they told me to take 400mg. I recently had and ultrasound done and they found endometriosis and a polyp. I am having a D&C in a couple weeks and hopefully that will stop the bleeding and I can cut back on the progesterone. My first round of pellets was wonderful and I felt great with a lot more energy and a better sex drive, but the second round didn't seem to do a thing. I had my blood levels checked twice, but the Dr. said they were good. I believe the amount of progesterone I am taking has something to do with it. I am going in for my surgery in a couple of weeks and my 3 pellet insertion in a month. I'm hoping all this will improve my overall health and mood.

Hi I'm Jean from TX. I went into early menopause at 47-48. Totally no period for over a year. Insomnia began, anxiety, fatigue, depression some hot flashes but not bad. The insomnia is what got me wondering what the heck! Now is it just time to get old. I wasn't having that. Had read and listened to several Suzanne Somers CDs and such and then happened on a friend that was getting the bio implants and loved her doctor. So off I went. I have all my plumbing and had 2 natural birth boys at age 26 and 30. Got the implants somewhere around age 50. I'm 53 now. All I know is I 'think' I feel alot better. More energy, sex crave like never before even when younger, and sleeping for the most part pretty good. Problem now though the past 8 months or so... the bleeding. The first year or two went off without a hitch. Take 200mg of Progesterone the first 10 days of the month or until I see a good blood spot. But now the bleeding is getting to be a problem. Each month appears a bit different and doc said it will take some time to get it regulated. I'm hopeful he'll get if figured out. I really don't want any surgery and have heard the abulation (however you spell that) isn't good for you. So I'm living with the excess bleeding. Doesn't usually bother me except at night and 'if' I have a busy day away from home with worries about my 'overflow' messing up my clothes! I'm just 53 and not sure what to do. I certainly want to stay strong and young as long as possible. I've watched my Mom and Aunt age awful with horrible dementia and aging bones. I am a total believer its not the long life its the quality of it. I'm praying that this gets under control and nothing serious happens. The bleeding lasts now about 10 days a month. Sometimes more, some lighter days then some flooding days. I'm on a good iron supplement and Vitamin D. Had a total blood work up and pap last month and all came out A-OK. If the bleeding keeps up I may get a sonogram to double check for fibroids. It appears everyone is different. But I do believe the therapy works best for those with hysterectomies. Oh yes.. also my doctor started with Sotto Pelle but now uses I guess a generic type implant. I've questioned him on this and he promised me there were no differences. Certainly hope that is correct. We're all here for a short time, I used to not believe in any of this sort of thing I'm very anti-doctor and anti-meds. But guess modern medicine of any kind isn't 'natural', and just want to feel good in mind, body, and spirit. Blessing to everyone! and good luck.

I have been a SottoPelle patient for 10 years and have experienced a total turnaround in my health. When I first started it, I was suffering from fatigue, hot flashes, brain fog and all the usual menopausal symptoms. I also had breast cysts and poor bone density. The results with SottoPelle were incredible. Within weeks all of the above symptoms vanished and never returned. Now I am in my 60s and have more energy than ever plus the bone density of a 30-year-old with no changes in diet or exercise. SottoPelle saved my life and was the best thing I ever did for my health.

I took the SottoPelle treatment for about one year. I am 66. I felt great but started spotting. I saw three gynecologists who insisted that I stop this treatment. They all said vaginal bleeding this late in life was considered to be cancer. I had a D&C which all the docs insisted upon and there was nothing wrong. I am planning to go back to SottoPelle treatments.

I used Sotto Pelle Therapy for four years. I started at age 57, I am now 62. The first year was great, no problems, improved the way I felt; relieved migraine headaches, hot flashes, and brain fog. During the second year, I noticed more and more of my hair was falling out, which worsened in the third and fourth years. I lost about half my hair, which is ordinarily thick. During the third year, I tried leaving testosterone out, getting only standard dose estrogen and oral progesterone but hair continued to fall out. I then switched to getting only testosterone, without estrogen. My hair continued to fall out, although less so. During the fourth year, I started bleeding (after 4 years without a period of any kind). I had my hormones tested before every new pellet -- my estrogen and progesterone levels were low which indicated a new pellet was in order. Two weeks after the new pellet, I started bleeding, which continued for two months then tapered off. Long story made short, I was diagnosed with fibroids -- OBGYN believes it's due to estrogen therapy, even though my blood work showed I was ready to received another pellet. It's been eight months since my last estrogen pellet -- my hair has stopped falling out and I haven't bled for several months, which I assume means my fibroids are shrinking. I won't continue with SP therapy as the side affects are aren't worth it, and so far my original menopausal symptoms have not returned.

I had the Sottopelle approximately 2 years ago. It lasted 4-5 months and I had great results with it. I was only able to get it twice because the Dr. decided to go with Biote type pellet. It did not work nearly as well as the Sottopelle. I told the Dr. and he told me it was exactly the same. I took another round of Biote and again, no great results. I changed to another OBGYN and he inserted a pellet(told me that it is not Sottopelle or Biote)and it worked for me better than the Biote but not near as well as the Sottopelle. I had this done in January and started to bleed continuously (not heavy)over one month ago. Last week I started to bleed extremely heavy and am getting very concerned. I have not had a period in nearly 7 years and this is like one of the horrible periods I used to have. I am going to get a sonogram this week to see if it can be determined why I am bleeding. If I can find a Dr in the DFW area that only uses Sottopelle, I am definitely going there after I get my other issue resolved.

If you have not yet found a dr In the DFW area, you might try The Fem Center. I used them when I lived in DFW and had good results with them.

I had my first dose of SP - T only, Because I am a high risk of blood clots I was informed that I could not have a estrogen therapy. I did experience some crapping. But it is difficult to pinpoint it on the SP-T because I have crohns. The only real side effect that I can relate to the SP-T is acne. There is no if and or buts....I have never had acne and today I look like a teen, acne in my hair, neck, forehead, chin and under the nose. Oh me Oh my. I did have some breast tenderness. But I feel pretty good, if I could have just a little estrogen I would feel fabulous for sure. Thanks for sharing your stories.... K from TX

I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 47, in 2007. I was in complete good health and lungs were clear! In the start of 2009 after receiving the pellets - (Bio identical hormones) there was a nodule on my right upper left lobe. It was non small cell adenocarcinoma stage 1. Lobe removed, continued hormone pellets continued, another non small cell adenocarcinoma primary on right middle lobe- that lobe totally removed, 4 months later another primary , stage 1 non small cell adenocarcinoma nodule removed from the right upper lobe by wedge resection in 10/2011. In 2007 was also treated with a stent for coronary artery disease which does not run in our family! THESE PELLETS CAUSE CANCER & CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE.
July 19, 2012 - 9:04amI swear it was caused by the hormone pellets as I have 7 sisters, no one to get these but myself and estrogen is so bad to be taken in this form. It does cause cancer and in fact this type!
PLEASE DON'T GET THE HORMONES!

Hi, I'm Dee, I am curious if anyone has tried the sot to pellet to CONTROl their heavy constant bleeding/ Will it do that?
June 6, 2012 - 4:07amI have a very low testosterone level, which surprised me.
I have tried EVERYTHING else. Even oblation lasted only 4 months.
I have also heard that it can help the 'frequent urination urges", Is that true?
