Often in my life, I have found myself trying so hard to find a positive, to find something to look forward to, but it is until now that I have really understood what it means to look at the positive. What I discovered was that I had ignored the biggest positive in my life; my family. For years I tried finding positives in those who I rarely shared and intimate relationship with and that I figure is the reason I could never truly find that positive. But now, I realize how important my family is. I originally thought that they did not support my interests in the arts, but now I see that they only wanted to provide me with a life that would not be stressful and difficult. They wanted me to become comfortable with my life, but at the same time have a good reputation.
Be positive and try not to make success and failure personal, rather go through life with confidence in yourself and emotional stability. Don't ever let your emotions get the better of you, because that is when you loose control. Good experiences and not so good experiences come and go and without one, the other does not exist. So go through knowing that but not dwelling on it.

What great insight. I think many people go through a time in their lives where they're trying to find their place in the world and distinguish themselves from their families.
Isn't it great when you arrive at a point where you've developed as an individual but can also embrace the family that had so much influence over the wonderful person you've become?
And as you mentioned, experiences are just that and family helps keep those experiences in perspective. Thanks for your reminder that we need to keep a positive attitude.

I couldn't agree more.
The key to life is a positive attitude.
And over the last 2 weeks I lost mine and just found it again this morning.
Very well said.
