Has anyone watched a daily talk show which presents a story of people who have phobias? I remember watching Maury once where there were many people with phobias including a woman who was had a phobia of mustard. She ran off the stage in fear of even being near the condiment. I remember thinking to myself, is this real or is it for our entertainment, I mean mustard?
I know we all have fears/phobias about things such as falling, burning in a fire, drowning but all of these things have something in common, they will HURT. Maybe it is a pain phobia. So these things were running through my mind this great day and so I started schmoozing the Internet and came across an article from Fox News which highlighted the 9 oddest phobias. I just had to share these since some of them literally made me laugh out loud (LOL)!
The fear of money (chrometophobia)
The fear of wine (oenophobia)
The fear of teenagers (ephebiphobia)
The fear of sleeping (somniphobia)
The fear of an erection (medorthophobia)
The fear of learning (sophophobia) – yes, kids you still have to go to school
The fear of flowers (anthophobia)
The fear of alcohol (dipsophobia)
The fear of garlic (alliumphobia)
Do you have an odd fear/phobia? Can you share it with us?

Honestly, I think "fear of teenagers" is just plain good old common sense!!

Miscortes - That's a great list. Thank you for a good laugh! I know what you mean about strange phobias shown on talk shows. I remember a show one time that had a woman who was afraid of cotton balls, and they rigged up a person covered with cotton balls to chase her around the stage. It was really weird, but pretty entertaining at the same time. :-)
