Dr. Matava recalls which women are at a high risk for deep venous thrombosis (DVT).

Dr. Matava:
It seems like most DVTs, which is the abbreviation for deep venous thrombosis, tends to occur more as you get a little bit older. Women have a higher propensity for that, especially if they are overweight. Women who have used birth control pills are also at somewhat higher risk as well.
