Dr. Hilkovitz explains why women become resistant to their insulin.

Dr. Hilkovitz:
It's not only women, everybody becomes resistant to their own insulin and the insulin resistance is brought about by the abdominal fat, the obesity in the abdomen causes an impairment of the pathways that process insulin and so, their resistance causes the blood sugar to start rising, but basically their obesity is the cause of it.
