If you are exercising to lose weight and get in great shape, make sure you are working hard enough that you can carry on a conversation and be able to say three or four words at once without taking a breath, but you shouldn't be able to sing. If you're just trying to stay healthy, you don't have to work as hard, but you do want to break a sweat.
