Dr. Brass-Jones discusses how genital herpes is diagnosed.
Dr. Brass-Jones:
Genital herpes is diagnosed in several different ways.
You can diagnose it with a swab of like an open sore or you can diagnose with a blood test.
If you suspect you have genital herpes you should see your practitioner.
If you have an open sore that can be identified with a swab you should have that done. Otherwise you can have a blood test done.
About Dr. Christine Brass-Jones, D.O.:
Dr. Brass-Jones joined a traditional OB/GYN practice in 2000 after completing residency but was not satisfied with her decision. Over the next two years she concentrated on the development of an integrated medical center that would focus on women as the core of the family and helping them to create wellness within themselves. They would then be able to extend this wellness to their families, creating healthier family units.
