when to try and try

so... im off my birth control... when should I really try (as far as monitoring my period ect.) when is the best time to try and get pregnant?

Depends on what birth control you were on. You should wait a few months to figure out your cycle, because it can change once you stop birth control. Once your cycle is regular you can start trying. Certain birth controls do recommend that you wait for a certain period of time before conceiving due to side effects from the hormones, so it's really a matter of what you were on.
