Surgery Postponed

I found out today that I will not be having any surgery until next week. Today was mostly follow-up appointments at Cancer Treatment Centers. I have to emphasize again how nice and convienent it is to have all of the doctors in one area and have them come to you for consultation. To meet with four to five doctors in one day, it would take a week driving all over the Valley! It definitely saves a lot of time and energy. The physicians are able to communicate much better and in a timely manner.

There really wasn’t any major news or happenings resulting from the appointments. I have to go in tomorrow for an MRI of the brain to make sure that there are no signs of cancer. This started because of the nausea that I explained has been occurring over the past while. I am praying that I do not have cancer in the brain! I also have my first round of radiation tomorrow on my lower back. This is the first time with CTCA, so it will be interesting to compare experiences with St. Joe's.

My cousin from Cali comes into town tomorrow to be a caregiver for the week. She was a caregiver back in February or early March when I was first diagnosed and back at home. I wonder if she will notice any major changes from her last visit. I just hope that I am not too sick. It would be nice to actually do something fun and get out of the house this week.
