Drain fat from cooked beef to lower the amount of calories and fat.

Ingredients and Preparation

Lean ground beef½ pound
Onion, chopped1 cup
Celery, chopped1 cup
Green pepper, cubed1 cup
Tomatoes, diced3 ½ cups  
Salt¼ teaspoon  
Black pepper½ teaspoon  
Paprika¼ teaspoon  
Frozen peas1 cup  
Carrots, diced2 small  
Uncooked rice1 cup
Water1 ½ cups
  1. Directions
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and drain off the fat.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Cook over medium heat and cover skillet until boiling. Reduce to low heat and simmer for 35 minutes. Serve hot.
