Treatments for Pneumonia
The goal of treatment is to:
- Destroy the germs that caused the infection
- Maintain adequate oxygenation
- Relieve symptoms of shortness of breath, cough, muscle aches etc.
- Avoid complications

There are no surgical procedures for treating uncomplicated pneumonia.
