Karen Ohaire

in the summer of 2007 I had a hemoragic stroke. I was at work and nobody came to find me. The cleaning found me. I was working as litigation support paralegal. I had a lot on my plate so there was a lot of stress. The ambulance was called and off I went. My family met me at the hospital, just to clarify I was unconciece so didn't know any anything. The doctors told my family, I had a Hemoragic stroke, it was serious. After a few day I woke up. I knew who my mom was and my sister, everyonye was glad about that. I was going to go to Burke Rehabitation to learn how to everything all over again. That was going to be hard. The people at Burke were great I was 37 years old at the time and they were great. I spent 30 days there, the told my sister at st Lukes I would walk, maybe was assistace. I walked out of Buke own my own. I had to Burke off site, which there rehab for people who don't live there. I went for physochial, occupation and speech. I got out of physochial in about 2 months, occupatuional took me about 6 month2 and speech I was the for a year. I had been 15 years since I had my stroke. Some days are and other are not so good. Everyday I wake up put on clothers and do all over again.
