My story on EmpowHer is about my uterine cancer but there is so much more important about me! I am the mother of an incredible 27-year-old daughter. I love the outdoors, movies and my terrific network of friends. I travel throughout the world to give business communication seminars--to a variety of audiences but predominantly to women business owners. As an offshoot of that work, I started www.UpFromTheDust.com, where I import items made by women in developing countries and sell them here, so we can help our sisters grow their businesses! I am an advocate for the disabled, cancer research, women business owners and small businesses. I grew up on a farm in Iowa, lived for 20 years in LA before I moved to Sedona. I started out as a journalist and now own a Public Relations consulting firm.
