Two years ago during my first visit to a new doctor, he carefully read my medical history that I had filled out. That alone surprised me because I've never had a doctor give it much more than a cursory glance before. He questioned me about the check mark next to "migraines". I told him they really weren't serious and expected him to just move on. Instead, he suggested I go for an MRI since I had good insurance coverage. I reluctantly agreed to go for the MRI and found out that I had a very large, benign brain tumor behind my right eye. Fortunately I had it removed two months later with no complications and no residual effects.
