Dr. Gonzalez recalls when a woman can drive again following gastric bypass surgery.

Dr. Gonzalez:
I usually recommend that the patients come to their first office visit, which is about a week after the surgery. They come with a loved one and then, if they look well, they feel well, and I think everything looks good, then I will let them drive, so more than a week later.
