Summer is here and I am bringing Haiti to the Hamptons. We have so many extraordinary developments to share with you, and I encourage you to come and visit Urban Zen in Sag Harbor. Now, you can come touch, feel and be surrounded by the essence of Haiti. The Urban Zen retail stores are filled with gorgeous Haitian product, and 100 percent of the sales are used to continue the efforts of our HOPE, HELP AND REBUILD HAITI initiative.

With this support, my dream is to connect the dots to create sustainable artisan communities in Port Au Prince, Croix des Bouquets and Jacmel. When you come and visit us, you will see how truly inspiring this work is—beautiful jewelry by horn artisans, unique pieces by metal artisans, a stunning exhibition by Philippe Dodard, woven papier-mâché hand bags, beaded necklaces and hand-carved stone hearts. I am so excited to be collaborating with these artisan communities as we work together to build a sustainable model of philanthropy and commerce that will allow Haiti’s artists to flourish.

To me, summer is packing up the family and heading out to be surrounded by sun and fun; it is a season where I can rest, relax and find the calm in the chaos. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the many exciting developments happening at Urban Zen. I invite you to connect with us to learn about the many ways that you can experience the gorgeous spirit of Haiti at Urban Zen this summer.
