EmpowHer Joins Forces with Fem2.0

EmpowHer is proud to announce it has partnered with Fem 2.0 – a conference dedicated to harnessing the power of women on the Internet to promote women's issues.

Feminism 2.0 brings together the leadership of major women's advocacy organizations and online women's communities to further the connection between today's issues and women's voices. Feminism2.0 is intended for all women interested in better policy for women, families and society.

In addition to its Web site, Fem 2.0 also hosts a conference in February for women to discuss the issues that are of most concern to them today and to encourage women to use the Internet more to express their opinions and advocate for policies that benefit women and families.

This mission is aligned with the mission of EmpowHer.com which works to advocate for women's health.

For example, did you know that women are grossly underserved by our current healthcare system? Over 17 million uninsured women live in the U.S. alone, plus women account for less than 30 percent of the participation in clinical trials on new medications and procedures. Even women fortunate enough to have access to care are still lacking current information, consistent diagnoses, and most importantly – a sense of empathy with other women.
