Sharing with Other Moms on Mother's Day

Next Sunday is Mother's Day. Many moms will be spending the day with their families around them. But some moms won't. Some will be alone on Mother's Day.

Here's an idea for sending a Mother's Day greeting to a homebound senior Mom. And an other idea is to check out Meals On Wheels and Meals for Moms.

"The Meals on Wheels Association of America says that today in the U.S., one in nine seniors is facing the threat of hunger -- that’s more than six million people. Hunger cuts across all demographic groups. Fully 50 percent of seniors at-risk of hunger have incomes that are above the poverty line."

I wish I'd come across this article sooner because it's only a matter of days now till Mother's Day. But even if this doesn't allow enough time to act on these ideas for Mother's Day, the Meals on Wheels and Meals for Moms are an ideal way to share with other women in need, any time of the year.
