Exercising is great, and the neverending variety in fitness wear makes workouts even more enjoyable. The underwear that you pick is just as vital to your workout experience as the rest of your outfit.
Unfortunately, not too many people think about which types of underwear might help or harm their workout.
Wearing delicate panties, including anything that is lacy, silky or sheer may not be the best option for you while exercising. The wrong type of underwear can lead to a number of vaginal issues.
According to Dr. Nicole E. Williams of the Gynecology Institute of Chicago, yeast infections and vaginitis are some of the problems that could possibly arise when wearing the wrong type of underwear.
So what is the best underwear to wear? Williams suggests that you wear anything that allows your vagina to breathe. The goal is to find a fabric that wicks away moisture. Another thing to consider is changing your underwear after you have worked out.
This, again, helps keep your vagina clean and lessens the possibility of any infections. There are plenty of underwear types that are perfect for you to wear during your exercise. Take some time to find the best fit for you and your workout regimen.
