Hi Tina, (and others) With Alzheimers running in my family I felt this was such a great opportunity to invest in my future by raising funds to help with not only research but with taking care of those who have alzheimers and their families. Our lives were forever changed as my grandfathers Alzheimers became increasinly worse. How sad it was to watch him go from the once happy full of life man I grew up with to a confused, lonely person that didn't always know who I, or anyone else for that matter, was. I worry what my future holds as my mother gets older and as I too get older. Will this be something I too will have? Hopefully, by that time a cure will be here. I walked my walk and was joined by some of my family. We raised $880 and though it may not seem like much it's something. I plan on volunteering wih the organization and I will be walking next year as well.
