In addition to living happily right now, there are many women who have proven a lifetime without marriage isn't such a bad thing either. Here's a list of women who have made history and reportedly weren't married: Jane Addams, won the Nobel Peace Prize for her work with the poor; Lise Meitner, nuclear physicist; Barbara McClintock won the Nobel Prize for Medicine; Susan B. Anthony championed women's rights and vote; Helen Keller; Jane Austen; Emily Bronte; and Anne Bronte.
