I can't believe what an ordeal. At least it is finally over, and you can begin looking forward and using your time in more productive, or even fun, ways!
Because of all you mentioned, I never changed my name in the first place when I got married! Not sure what percentage was laziness (changing social security, drivers license, credit cards, etc, etc....) and what percentage was wanting to keep my own identity. I am not "Mrs. My Husband", but am happy to be married to him. I don't have to give up my name, just as he does not, to be a partnership.
Anyways, we did talk about us combining our last names, or coming up with a new one, but that was too much work! I love when someone calls the house, asking for "Mr. MY last name"! I automatically know it is a sales call!
