I'm Karen. I have a story similar to most of you. I began taking Fosamax in 1999 after a hysterectomy along with hormone replacement. Injury in July 08 to my left thigh causing weakness and pain. Nothing diagnosed by x-ray or MRI. PT for two months to strengthen. March 21,2009 I tripped and fell, fracturing the left femur. The facture appeared like what has been reported. I had a rod surgically implanted. My surgeon knew nothing about similar reports in the literature. After 2 weeks of hospitalization, home therapy and now weeks of out patient physical therapy, I am finally walking without a walker or cane, but still cannot do stairs with alternating legs and I tire very easily. I have had to retire from my job. I am considering some legal action. My questions is: pursue this alone or become part of a class action suit? Advantages and disadvantages of both would be helpful. Thanks.
