Hi Valerie,

I'm with you. If I can't walk straight or dance, just make me an amputee and I will remain extremely active. Fitness is my love. My ortho at Duke Univ said amputation puts huge stress on your heart and that amputees live a shorter life span. I need a TTC tibiotalarcalcaneal fusion and I keep searching and searching for anyone who has been able to walk normally after it. Can I hear spin class? Pilates? TRX? Not a one. My surgeon said he's never seen anyone as young and active as me have this issue and he doesn't see any other options as the talus is collapsing following dying blood flow after the talus was fractured and surgically pinned in three places more than a year ago. My ankle is very stuff despite daily activity and PT I am likely the most tough and pain tolerant person you will meet with regard to this kind of pain, but I want to know the outcomes, not what it's like 6 weeks out and 12 weeks out, etc. Done that, been there, developed admirable triceps from mastering my crutches!! Please share your TTC stories anyone!!
