hi,

i can't say anything about how this may be related to mirena, but about 5 years ago i started to have the same pain etc you describe. after 6 months i started asking doctors about it and the only possible answers were a) a fibroid (it was tiny) or b) IBS (after a colonoscopy that checked out fine). nothing helped, except taking vicodin. it would be about 3 days fater ovulation until 2 days before my period, especially bad at night, but also during the day. anyway, i gt pregnant by accident, had the baby 6 months ago, and have not had those symptoms again. i have been on the mirena for 2 months and so far so good. some pimples on the back of my neck and weight gain, yes - but no cramps and no migraines (use dto have those every month as well. so, just wanted to share. get an ob/gyn check-up for fibroids as some can cause pain and also complicate pregnancy. and it can't hurt to check for crohn's or something else intestinal! good luck!
