I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction June 27. I developed a skin necrosis on both sides a week later. It has been 5 weeks and it is just getting worse. I had the necrotic skin removed and restitched, but the sutures broke again. I have a hole on the left side that is the size of a quarter. I have been told to use wet to dry. I don't know how long it takes to heal and if it can heal at all. I am ready to have the expanders removed just for a chance at healing.
