Don't do it!
I was a Sotto Pelle patient, and had an awful experience. Went to see "the" doc for this, and got a testosterone pellet. Within a few weeks, I developed a massive breast lump (never had anything like it), had reset my menstrual cycle and put on 10 pounds (have been the same weight since college). Every complaint I had, the guru doc told me was attributed to something else, like, he wouldn't accept responsibility for the fact that the hormones caused every symptom. I DID feel better for a few weeks, no doubt, but that wore off quickly, and I thought I was due for another pellet. Not so. I was told my levels were all really high. So, now I had a ton of negative side effects, and was still feeling crappy. Also, I had three docs in the practice all review my case, and all three had different opinions on what I should take, how much, etc. One would think there was SOME consistency in prescribing - but not at all. This worried me tremendously, as I realized none of them really had a clue. For me, the side effects weren't worth it, and I now know why both my GP and GYN were mad at me for trying this. It's not regulated, and since hormone levels fluctuate so much during the day, there is no way to properly dose for supplementation. Now, 4 months later the hormones are out of my system, and I've been able to lose the weight and the breast lump is reducing in size, but, I'm miserable and unable to sleep again. Everyone should make their own informed choice.
