Hi, I'm 20 years old, 5 ft 4 and just under 140 lbs. I exercise almost every day and have always been pretty athletic.

I've suffered from chronic migraines since I was 6 and since middle school have been dealing with anxiety. For the past 8 months I've been feeling heart palpitations (fluttering and occasional rapid heartbeat) 1-4 times a minute pretty much all day, sometimes even when I'm not fixating on them mentally. I've been to my college's health center, had two EKGs that both read normal, and blood tests that I haven't heard anything about.

For the past week, however, I've been awakened from sleep by them and notice different kinds of irregularities--like now instead of my heart fluttering I feel like it is skipping beats altogether and I have to catch my breath after.

Is this more likely because of anxiety than it is a pressing problem?

If it matters, I have to take 600mg Advil + 500mg Tylenol at least 3 days per week to combat migraines, since my prescription meds max out at 2 doses per week. I've had doctors tell me that ibuprofen contributes to heart problems and other doctors tell me that's bogus. (Generally, I've had contradictory information coming from my neurologist, my primary care Dr., and school health center, which does nothing at all to ease my anxiety.)

I'd appreciate any advice that will help me sleep at night, thank you!
