You spent all of 15 seconds in Second Life. You became confused, and because you lacked the curiosity to find out what it was really about, you decided to find someone else's opinion from another website and post it here.

Second Life is used for many professional activities; most notably, health care education. It's not a "fake life" any more than a telephone conversation is "fake communication."
Your unwillingness to educate yourself is depressing.
