First of all I want to say I"m sorry about your experience, I too am a nurse and when my symptoms started in my arm I knew it was from where the injection was given and my docs office has not handled it correctly but that is just my opinion which doesn't seem to matter. They had me on a medrol dose pack and I have to say that after a couple days the prednisone really helped. My arm is not where it was before the injection but I do not have the extreme pain and numbness/tingling as I did. I had a MRI and it showed "increased fluid in the bursa" well after my docs office gave me the info I said that when the MA hit the area around the bursa thats why there was all that inflammation and they are still going on the theory that it was a underlying thing.....so now I will see how my arm is now that the prednisone is done.
I told my docs office that I certainly hope someone took him aside and showed him the correct procedure on how to give a IM injection and I'm still upset with myself for if I didn't turn my head to the right I would of saw how high up he was going with the syringe on my left arm...good luck to you.
