I received a mandatory flu shot in my l deltoid region. It was given very high almost in my shoulder area. In years past have never had a problem. It has now been one month and my pain mimics rotator cuff syndrome. I have been to the dr. and so far they have only ordered X-ray (normal) and blood work. Would giving an injection in this area cause a rotator cuff tear? I am in significant constant pain. I am 3 yrs s/p spinal fusion so I am not a stranger to pain. I cannot lift my arm out to my side or over my head without significant pain. Wakes me up every night from sleep. Would having an MRI show anything- how should I proceed. Thanks in advance.
