I'm a 52 year old female in the UK with a venous lake on my top lip. Initially is was inside my mouth but after having cryosurgery 5 times in 6 years it kept re-appearing bigger. It is more obvious now than it ever was and has just encroached the lip line. I saw a consultant about having it lastered with the cutera cool tip and he says the lump is too dense. I researched more and found in America sclerothepy is used. However whilst the specialist says he will undertake this, he has pointed out that it may still return but,more worrying, the "solution" they inject to collapse the vein could leak out into the good area of lip and cause damage. Has anyone had the sclerothapy on their lip please? I'm undecided whether to have it done or not but I can't continue with this blue lump that lipstick does not really adhere to.
