I posted a comment on November 6th after having laser surgery on my venous lake. To all of you who have been misinformed, my lip looks fantastic. It has only been two weeks and it's 98% healed, no scarring, no dent and my insurance covered the procedure. I went to one of the country's top dermatologists, Dr. Thomas McMeekin, in Rochester, NY. The man had done dermatological laser surgeries on my son's hands and his hand look like new. If your venous lake is growing and bleeding or is irritating in anyway, it will be covered by insurance. Mine was described as an irritated venous lake and was approved. Good luck to you all. For those of you who were told by your doctor that laser surgery would leave a big dent and look worse that it already is . . . find a new doctor. Your doctor is just not as well educated/informed as he/she should be.
