What a coincidence, our meditation teacher talked to us about the various types of Yoga known today. Hatha is the most common and we tried it in class tonight. Hatha is a broad term that includes many of the physical types of yoga. The lesson tonight was slow-paced and gentle and for a first timer like me, it provided a good introduction to the basic yoga poses. The stretches were felt greatly in my achy body, but I enjoyed the experience. The instructor mentioned others but I did not pay attention. However, here is a link she gave us to the American Yoga Association which lists all the types of Yoga.
