I have heard the theory that actually everyone in a dream represents a part of you. That if there are five different people in the dream, for instance, they represent five different pieces of you as you try to work through an emotion or issue. Perhaps different parts of you are at odds over something in your life, for instance.
Of course, this doesn't help much if you're the only one in the dream.
Now here's something I want from my dreams: When it's a really good dream, I want my brain to realize it and to not wake me up until it's finished!!!
