Thanks for your response Miscortes! I did take a pregnancy test yesterday morning and the result was negative, which has helped to put my mind somewhat at ease. I do realize, however, that it is still early and that I'll need to take another test if my period does not come in the next few days, just to be sure.
I do have a question though, is the Today Sponge not considered reliable protection? Would my antibiotics have affected the effectiveness of the sponge? We've always used either condoms or the sponge whenever we've been intimate.
Also, do you know if using the Nuvaring for only a couple of days would have affected my cycle? I'm wondering if I got a second 'mini-period' after taking it out. I'm not sure if that's possible, but it could explain why I'm late. Just curious...
